The Bavarian Forest is located in the border triangle of Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic and is one of the oldest mountains on earth. With the Great Arber and the Great Falkenstein, the low mountain range has imposing peaks whose avalanche situation is much more relaxed than in the Alps. Therefore, the Bavarian Forest is the ideal destination for many people looking for enjoyable ski tours.
