In the heart of the Southern Region, between the Luberon and Verdon Regional Nature Parks by the town of Manosque, lie destinations that offer a wide variety of sites and activities that are equally perfect for a weekend or holiday.
The Upper Provence region, made up of wide open spaces and celebrated in the novels of Jean Giono, is a place where culture, sport, gastronomy, and the art of living are on offer all year round.
On both the Upper Provence and Verdon sides, you will discover breathtaking landscapes between plains and fields of lavender, olive groves, almond trees, scrubland, hills, plateaus, lakes, and canyons. It's no wonder the area is so well suited to outdoor enthusiasts!

Where history leaves its mark!
This is a place where history is counted in hundreds of millions of years. At a time when the sea settled, before withdrawing to gradually dry out a landscape that was then sculpted by a river. The Verdon Gorges were born!
From the Prehistory Museum of the Gorges du Verdon in Quinson to the Roman remains of Riez, via the castle of Allemagne-en-Provence or the fortress of Gréoux-les-Bains... The centuries are crossed to the rhythm of the medieval streets so typical of Provencal villages.
