Wimpole Estate walk
A spring walk around the grounds and house at Wimpole Estate
A very gentle walk with lots of opportunities to sit and enjoy the countryside , in open parkland's
The walk to to folly is a must as it is the perfect spot for a picnic.
There are several café on the estate and usually have a decent selection suitable for most people
Never disappointed at Wimpole as there is always something new to see and do.
one of my favourites is the walk through the stumpery but due to tree fall it was closed.

Pegsdon Hills
A short circular walk from Pegsdon This walk takes you to the top of Noon Hill then down to the massive earthworks up the side of the hill Head up the hill to the open fields and take in views across Herts and Beds. With Noon Hill to your back head towards the trig point at the top of Deacon Hill. If your lucky you may even see the pony's as well as the usual sheep and cows. Note the humps and hollows at the top of Deacon Hill and along the top and sides, these are the remains of chalk quarrying that was used for lime, the lime extracted was used for farming and building Next head down towards the the two Barrows near Knocking Knoll. You can also see Stipe Lynchets along and nearby. if you have time in the spring it's well worth a visit to the Hoe as you will be.rewarded with finding many rare chalk land flowers and fauna. The sky's along the walk are usually studded with several different types of Hawks with the Red Kite now dominating the sky's. Follow the path back down to Pegsdon then back to the start. The pub in Pegsdon (the View) is always worth a visit as it has a pretty good menu and sells coffees and teas as well as Beer and bar snacks.
